Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, Massachusetts was opened in 1921 with nine holes designed by Wayne Stiles. In 1927 nine more holes were added, designed by Donald Ross. During that time Mr. Ross also recommended many changes to the first nine including the lengthening of the second hole thus making it a dogleg right. Four of the greens were made two level greens, holes 2, 4, 7 and 9, while many of the greens were tipped from back to front. The end result is what many think of as a fair and fun filled championship golf course. Below are but a few tournaments and their champions at Oak Hill Country Club:
